One Week until Resistance Comedy return to Millfield

Resistance comedy have put together an amazing Special 8 Act Lineup edition of Funny @ The Millfield on Friday 30th July at 8pm!

The line up is:

Jerry Bakewell- Britain’s most unsuccessful Mexican wrestler. Weighing in at 17-and-a-half stone, Jerry Bakewell is Britain's most unsuccessful Mexican wrestler and Europe's heaviest light entertainer. Winner of the 1993 Les Dennis Bravery Award, Jerry was recently described as a laugh every other minute, following a one-and-a-half minute set.

DARRAN GRIFFITHS - A member of our Resistance Family since day 1, A comedian, host and podcaster born and raised in Harlow, to Jamaican parents, he has a blend of Caribbean confidence and Essex irreverence. Flagrant, thought-provoking and funny. To date, he has already appeared on television and radio, including Yanga TV, Pulse88 FM and BBC Radio.

MICHAEL AKADIRI- A London based, born and bred stand up comic who has been tipped by ‘One to Watch’ by Amused Moose, has in his short career to date, won London’s notorious King Gong and has reached the finals of the 2019 Amused Moose New National Comic Award.

GINNA CHENG - Born and raised on the mean streets of Bangkok, Ginnia Cheng is an up-and-coming London-based comedian dissecting the world as a sassy, saucy immigrant. Her cheeky brand of observational humour has seen her reach the semi-finals of some of the UK's largest comedy competitions, including So You Think You're Funny 2018, Up the Creek's One to Watch 2019 and the Max Turner New Comic Award 2019.

She is the founder, producer and co-host of Sex Standing Up Comedy, a monthly sex-positive comedy and interactive game show extravaganza that's regularly featured as one of TimeOut London's top things to do on a Saturday, and was recommended by the Metro, Londonist and LondonX.

In 2019, she took the one hour stand-up show Babes/Pigs in the City with Amy Xander to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, of which the Work in Progress debuted at Brighton Fringe, including a sold out show at the Junkyard Dogs

TAMSYN KELLY - Tamsyn Kelly is a comedian, actor and director. As a comedian she has supported Seann Walsh, Omid Djalili and Jessie Cave, she has also appeared with Russell Kane on Rage Room (Channel 4), as well as Things You Shouldn’t Say on BBC3. Tamsyn directs and performs drag and was a finalist in Man Up 2018. She has recently finished directing her first run of News Revue, and directed Sh*tfaced Showtime’s hit run of The Wizard of Oz at the Leicester Square Theatre and Edinburgh.Tamsyn made her Edinburgh debut in 2018 at the Underbelly with her show Tamsyn Kelly: You’re Welcome.
