The doors finally re-open to welcome live audiences again into the theatre this May and Millfield theatre is delighted to fill the room with laughter again with the launch of a residency by Resistance Comedy on Friday 28th May.

Fiona Allen
Fiona has appeared in many sketch shows, including We Know Where You Live (Channel 5), Smack the Pony (Channel 4), Goodness Gracious Me (BBC) and The All Star Comedy Show. She has also appeared in many television dramas including Dalziel and Pascoe and Coronation Street (ITV), as well as the sitcom Happiness alongside Paul Whitehouse. Subsequently she appeared as Sandra, in the film version of the Viz comic strip The Fat Slags, and as a panelist on Mock the Week. Fiona also appeared in the first episode of the second series of the E4 teenage drama Skins, playing Maxxie's mum Jackie Oliver. She also appears in BBC drama Waterloo Road as Georgia Stevenson. More recently Fiona can been seen on Eastenders (BBC), playing Villian Leo King's mother Michaela Turnbul.
Darran Griffiths
A comedian, host and podcaster born and raised in Harlow, to Jamaican parents, he has a blend of Caribbean confidence and Essex irreverence.
Rick Kiesewetter
an Asian American now a British citizen, this gives him his take on the world.
His comedy is based on everything from relationships, to being a contender on the cult UK ITV show Gladiators. Rick is just a New Jersey guy, living in London and telling jokes.
Jenan Younis
A British Ethnic ‘Brethnic’ comedian of Middle Eastern heritage. Her comedy on stage has been described as a ‘slap in the face’ in the most pacifist sense possible. She is founder of the “Weapons of Mass Hilarity” comedy night championing comedians with ties to the Middle East.
