Following 8 long months of closure since Covid-19 closed theatres across the world Millfield Theatre is delighted to be re-opening with its annual pantomime "Puss In Boots" on December 3rd.
Despite the current Coronavirus pandemic threatening this year’s Pantomime season, Creative Producer, Marc Day of Millfield Theatre in Edmonton, North London is determined that its annual Pantomime will happen.
The 362 seat venue, which was planning to present ‘Snow White & the Seven Dwarfs’ has now changed to ‘Puss in Boots’ which will be a first for the North London venue.
Marc Day explained, ‘It was time to make a decision before we started spending money and work on Snow White began. Our pantomimes are created in-house and play a huge part of our work during the autumn season.’
Taking into account the current 1+metre rule, the reduced capacity of the auditorium was calculated, followed by calculations of reducing production costs and number of cast and crew backstage.
‘It took a little creative thinking but scaling down whilst ensuring our audiences would still have a fantastic festive experience can be achieved and will be in December when ‘Puss in Boots’ opens.
Tickets on sale from Monday 13th July.
Puss in Boots Opens 3rd December and runs until 31st December
