Its only a few days until panto opens, so we spoke to our Spellbinding Fairy Good-Enough, Christie Crosson!✨🌟

How did you start your career in acting?

My mother is a dance teacher, so ive been dancing and performing since I was 3. As I got older I started to get more into theatre and all the other elements to it. I actually did a Business degree - so a little bit different, but continued performing alongside that.

Tell us some career highlights of yours.

The first highlight was doing We will Rock You for Royal Caribbean - we were the first cast to do it, so Brian May was there. I met my husband on that project, so that really was a big one. I think the next highlight was Big the Musical, which was really exciting.

Is this the first time performing in a pantomime?

It is, and I’m thrilled to make my panto debut! It’s not quite as big a thing in Canada, so I was introduced to it when I moved over here, and was really excited. I love it, it makes theatre a big part of schools and thats really important.

When did you watch your first pantomime?

It was actually at Millfield, it was wonderful, I loved it! It was Aladdin. I actually got really excited about the call and response, I really enjoyed that relationship with the audience.

Who is your favourite pantomime character?

The fairy! Because im so excited to play that. I also love a good villain.

What job would you do if you wasn't an actor?

I’d love to be a detective, that would be a dream role I think - to play a detective!

Who would you like to sing a duet with?

I’d like to sing with Michael Buble, he’s such a lovely warm person...and I love the style!

Wasn't that Magical?! Next Week Mother Goose will be at the Millfield Theatre and our interview will Be the Star of the Show... Mother Goose Herself! .. Remember to book tickets!
