Each year local resident and pantomime expert Chuchu Nwagu goes behind-the-scenes of the famous Millfield Theatre pantomime to document the production - from rehearsals right through to opening night in his panto blog!

Chuchu is 22 years old and lives in Edmonton, London.

Formally a Customer Services Assistant at Millfield Theatre and Production Assistant/Trainee Producer on Millfield Panto's from 2008 to 2011, Chuchu sits in on rehearsals these days and blogs about goings-on backstage at the theatre.

The blog is a great place to find out more about the cast and to get an insight in to what goes on behind-the-scenes when putting on an in-house production to this scale.

Millfield Theatre is such a friendly environment” said Chuchu, “It’s close to where I live and it was the place where I encountered my first piece of Live Art. The Millfield Pantomime developed my love for Musical Theatre and gave me a passion to perform. Every year since 1998 I've seen every Panto at Millfield even bugging my parents some years (when I was younger) to book me a Panto ticket, so I could go and see it by myself. I love pantomime and yearly I travel the country seeing a number of different productions but the thing that I love most about Millfield’s panto is its intimacy and family-orientated feel”.
