Millfield Theatre Getting Involved

Working at the Millfield Theatre

We are always looking for people to join our team at Millfield Theatre, whether as a paid member of staff on a voluntary basis or a work experience. Here are some of the roles that we are recruiting for.

Front Of House Assistants

Our Front Of House team welcome our customers to the venue and help our customers with what they need, whether that is purchasing a ticket for a show, booking in a meeting or conference on our venue management system, helping to set up a conference or meeting or giving the customer information. If you like to work with the public, are good at working with IT systems and enjoy working within a cultural environment then this could be the role for you.

Bar and Catering Assistants

Our cafe team prepares and serves a range of food and beverages to our customer throughout the day and during shows and events at Millfield Theatre. If you love working with food and drink and enjoy working with the public then this could be the role for you.

If you are interested in the Front of House or Bar roles please e-mail our Deputy Front of House Operations Supervisor Zaheer with an up to date CV to Zaheer.Ahmed@enfield.gov.uk or drop your CV at the reception desk at the Millfield Theatre.

Technicians

Our Technical team sets up and operates the Sound, Lighting and Stage Management of shows and events at Millfield Theatre. If you love technology and enjoy working backstage at a show or event then this could be the role for you.

If you are interested in a Technician role please e-mail our Technical Supervisor Max with an up to date CV to Max.Thompson@enfield.gov.uk or drop your CV at the reception desk at Millfield Theatre.

Volunteering

At Millfield Theatre we have a dedicated team of volunteers who help us on show evenings, helping us to deliver first-class customer service.

The duties of a Customer Services Volunteer involve:

  • Greeting and assisting our patrons on their visit to the theatre
  • Ushering the audience in the auditorium and checking tickets
  • Selling sweets, ice creams, drinks and merchandise and helping out with cloakroom duties

We are looking for people who are willing to help others, who have good verbal communication skills and enjoy working as part of the team. We also request that you are able to commit to, at least, two shifts every six weeks.

If you are interested in applying to be a volunteer at Millfield Theatre then please contact our Volunteer Co-ordinator Melanie at Melanie.Hassan@enfield.gov.uk or speak to one of our Front of House staff at the venue.
