The Oxford Beatles are coming to Millfield on Saturday 27th April, with a new show - Songs from the Studio Years ’66-69'. This brand new show will see them perform songs from The Beatles’ studio years, running from Revolver to Let It Be and performing as a five-piece with a new Fifth Beatle.

Meet the original four:

Chris is the founder, heart and soul of the Oxford Beatles. He has worked out the vocal harmonies, collected the classic Beatles guitars (with a Rickenbacker bass currently on order at the factory!) and is in charge of live sound. He’s currently working on a theatre show celebrating the 50th year anniversary of the release of the Sgt Pepper album, including orchestral accompaniment and a parallel narrative around the final days of Brian Epstein, which will be performed in Oxford later in 2017.

Dan is a self-taught drummer of ten years’ experience. He has played in many university pit bands and improvised as a part of jazz ensembles. Outside his PhD he spends his time watching YouTube videos of Ringo’s drum parts.

Tom is the lead-guitarist and pianist in the band, and is classically trained in three instruments. Whilst not lending his precise lead-guitar work, backing vocals and keys in the guise of George Harrison he plays acoustic folk-guitar and also gigs as a solo act.

Riaz is a classically-trained vocalist and guitarist. He and Chris have been responsible for faithfully modelling the guitar and bass sounds for the Oxford Beatles song by song. Outside the Oxford Beatles he is currently writing original solo material, working as a session singer and doing music promotion. The Oh Darling! vocal is his favourite live number because of that awesome Paul vocal.
